Refund Policy

1. Overview

CertifyCrafter offers a free trial so you can evaluate the Service before purchasing. We encourage all users to try the free certificate allocation before committing to a paid pack. This policy sets out when refunds may be issued for paid credit pack purchases and the process for requesting one.

By purchasing a credit pack, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Refund Policy.

2. Nature of Our Products

CertifyCrafter sells digital goods — specifically, certificate generation credits ("credits") that are immediately delivered to your account upon a successful payment. Because credits are a digital consumable product that is:

  • Delivered instantly upon purchase confirmation,
  • Not a physical good that can be returned, and
  • Capable of being used immediately after delivery,

refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis rather than through an automatic blanket policy. We aim to be fair and reasonable in all situations.

3. Refund Eligibility

You may be eligible for a full or partial refund in the following circumstances:

Eligible Scenarios

  • Accidental duplicate purchase: You purchased the same credit pack more than once within a short period (generally within 48 hours) and have not used the credits from the duplicate purchase. Contact us promptly and we will refund the duplicate transaction.
  • Technical failure preventing credit delivery: You were charged but your account balance was not credited, and you contacted us within 14 days of the charge. We will either restore your credits or issue a full refund, at our discretion.
  • Service not as described: The Service was materially different from what was described on our pricing page at the time of purchase, and you contact us within 14 days of your purchase and have not used a substantial portion of your credits.
  • Purchase by a minor: If a credit pack was purchased by a person under 18 (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction) without parental or guardian authorization, and you provide adequate proof, we will process a refund upon verification.

For refund requests within the first 7 days of purchase where fewer than 10 credits have been used, we will generally issue a full refund as a gesture of goodwill, even without one of the specific reasons above.

4. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will generally not be issued in the following situations:

  • You have used all or a substantial majority of the credits in the pack.
  • More than 30 days have passed since the purchase date, unless there is an ongoing technical issue attributable to us.
  • You changed your mind about using the Service after the pack was delivered and credits were used.
  • You are requesting a refund because a recipient of a certificate challenged its legitimacy — CertifyCrafter is a generation tool; it does not validate or endorse the certifications you issue.
  • Your account was terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service.
  • You purchased a pack that you expected to work with a third-party tool or integration that is not an officially supported feature of CertifyCrafter.
  • Promotional or discounted packs purchased during special offers, unless there is a technical failure.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at support@certifycrafter.com with the subject line "Refund Request" and include the following information:

  1. The email address associated with your CertifyCrafter account.
  2. The date of purchase.
  3. The name of the pack you purchased (e.g., Starter, Pro, or Unlimited).
  4. Your Paddle order or transaction ID (found in your purchase confirmation email).
  5. A brief description of the reason for your refund request.

We may ask for additional information to verify your identity or the circumstances of your request. We aim to acknowledge all refund requests within 2 business days.

6. Processing Time

If your refund is approved, it will be processed through Paddle (our payment provider) back to the original payment method used at checkout. Refund timelines depend on your bank or card issuer:

  • Credit and debit cards: Typically 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
  • PayPal and other digital wallets: Typically 1–3 business days.

Upon approval of a refund, the corresponding credits will be removed from your account balance. If your balance has fallen below the refunded amount due to usage, we will refund only the equivalent of the unused credits.

CertifyCrafter does not charge a processing fee for approved refunds.

7. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending resolution of the dispute. Chargebacks that are determined by the payment network to be unwarranted may result in permanent account suspension.
